Favourite Part
“Standing at the altar, watching as Sarah and her dad began to make their way down the aisle was my absolute favourite moment,” says the groom. “In that moment, everyone important to me was in the same room and I was so overwhelmed.”
What Went Wrong
“When my father and I made it to the altar, it was very emotional and I guess he was nervous because he knocked over a large vase with a candle in it, which shattered and nearly set my dress on fire,” recalls Sarah.
Honeymoon
Sarah and Stephen left for Chile the day after their wedding and vacationed for two weeks. A highlight was spending a week in Patagonia and staying in an eco-dome lodge.
Wedding Planning Advice
“Let your family help,” says Sarah. “My mom basically helped me plan the entire wedding and I could not have done it without her.”
Unique Details
“We bought small pieces of gold and spent eight hours crafting each other’s bands at The Devil’s Workshop,” says the bride. And instead of serving their wedding cake, Sarah and Stephen chose to serve cinnamon buns to their guests. Yum!
